THE RADIO KILLERS ARE TAKING OVER TAMPA BAY

The Newest Cover Band to Hit Tampa Bay will bring a Fresh Mix of Danceable Music

TAMPA, FL – July 2008 – In an effort to bring a new groove to the music scene of Tampa Bay and the surrounding areas, four veteran rockers have come together to form an exciting concept to bring new life and depth to the current cover band genre.  The goal of a cover band is to entertain the crowd, and The Radio Killers are going to do just that.  Not only accomplishing that by bringing new life and melodies to tried and true music, but also by dazzling everyone with their stage show and all-around contagious aura.  Tunes from the past will pop up in a new way that will leave the audience no choice but to sing along and shake their booties on the dance floor all night long.

“We want to create an experience in each of our shows.  We don’t want to be just another cover band,” says Frank Bruno, bass extraordinaire.  "When we first got together, we talked at great length about what we could do to set us apart from everyone else because there are tons of other cover bands in this area.  What we came up with is something collectively we, as a band and as music fans, felt we would love to see a live band do.... put on a show! We don't want to play all the songs that every other band is doing or songs that you consistently hear on the radio. We want to create a new live band that everyone will be talking about around the water cooler on Monday morning!" That is the challenge that The Radio Killers want to overcome.  They don’t want to be like any other cover band.  And they have a plan to make just that happen.

Along with Frank, The Radio Killers also have the inspirational vocal talents of Eben Nye, the beat-keeping drum ability of Don Young, and the wailing guitar riffs of Kurt McDonald to keep the music rocking and the crowd dancing. “These three guys I am working with are top-notch.  I couldn’t have asked for a better situation,” says Frank. The foursome are finalizing all aspects of their show and are planning on hitting Tampa Bay in August.   You can keep up-to-date with The Radio Killers and their schedule on http://www.myspace.com/theradiokillersband.
